From Auckland, New Zealand to the Florida Keys and back home to nearby Carlsbad, CA Joshua's pieces are bringing light into galleries and sacred spaces across the globe. Inspired by the colors and cultures of this beautiful planet, Joshua's art is meticulously crafted by adorning the statues he collects with thousands of brightly colored glass seed beads.
- First Joshua hand selects the perfect statue
- Then an extremely strong glue is applied
- Next each of the beads is placed one at a time with a toothpick
- Last the piece is coated with multiple layers of crystal clear sealer
Joshua Frager is an artist, wave rider and world traveler. Born in sunny Southern California he was blessed to be riding the waves in San Clemente for as far back as he can remember. His passion for art first began as a young boy watching John Barber blow glass at the Sawdust Festival in Laguna Beach, CA. The glow of the molten glass burned inside of Joshua's soul until the age of twenty when he began his journey in glassblowing, painting and now sacred seed art. Driven by his passion to explore other cultures, he traveled the planet sharing waves , tasting food and immersing himself in the world around him. Now back home, his journey continues as he creates his latest inspirational collection of work, combining the places he has been with the passion that still glows inside him.
